Canica Crusher Repair
The cast chute had holes wearing through the bottom, and the turntable top and cap were worn through needing replacement. We pulled the hopper and chute off together, cut the welds and were required to cut a gap in the chute to allow it to flex in a little and allow for easy removal from the hopper. We then removed the lid, propellers and worn turntable top.
Cleaned and prepped the areas while also giving an inspection for any noticeable damage. The new plate and lid were installed, propellers reinstalled, and the process of putting back together began starting with installing the lid.
The chute was spaced 1/2” above the propellers and fitted in place on the threaded rods, followed by welding the nuts to prevent a chance of vibrations backing the nuts off.
Lastly the hopper was fitted and welded to the chute with e309/309L rod. This made for a busy but successful day and another happy customer!
